Which API providers work?
OpenRouter (recommended — access to 200+ models, usage caps), Anthropic (Claude), and OpenAI (GPT-4o, GPT-4.1).
How do I get an API key?
Sign up at openrouter.ai (free), anthropic.com, or platform.openai.com. Paste the key during Mercury onboarding.
Can I switch my key later?
Yes, anytime from your settings.
What model should I use?
We recommend Claude Sonnet 4 (Anthropic) or GPT-4o (OpenAI) for best results. OpenRouter gives you access to both.
